Cupels
Our range of Fire Assay Cupels are manufactured using high quality raw materials. We manufacture a comprehensive range of cupel sizes, and have the ability to manufacture to custom cupel size requirements. Stringent quality control processes - supported by an ISO 9001 certification - ensure uniformity in size, quality, strength, and resistance to thermal shock.
Maximum lead absorption of our cupels is close to their own mass – for safety, allow between 90-95% of cupel mass for lead button sizing, ensuring complete absorption while preventing lead seeping through to the furnace floor. Block Cupels are manufactured in a variety of configurations for the Platinum Mining Industry.

Meltech is a trading arm of the group, which has been awarded the sub-Sahara distribution agency for the Morgan MMS range of crucibles and foundry products.
